mafrooth yes..

but ppl do all kindsa stuff..

I don't wanna start a flame war.. but in my opinion.. some blatant things are being overlooked

for example:

the K20A swaps into the EG/EK chassis

the rules say:

"The position and mounting method must conform to the original model raced"

the K20 uses custom engine mounts.. and the whole engine and tranny is backwards in the car...

and also the ppl who stretch and roll the **** out of their fenders...the rules don't allow that either

the mini guys using JCW spoilers and fenders and what not, even tho they aren't part of their mini..

and more..

and just so u don't think i'm talking out my ass:

original mounting points and drivetrain layout:
engine on the right, tranny on the left...motor is spinning in the correct direction
http://img518.imageshack.us/img518/219/dsc02526qa5.jpg

K20 swap:

engine on the left, tranny on the right.. engine spinning the wrong way..
(also using custom engine mounts and mounting points requiring chassis modification)

what do u mean?

if ur asking are they K20 engines in hondas that didn't come with K20's

then Yes there is (last season I believe was the first year they started using K20's)

the DC5 Integra's come original with K20.. hell u could use a new shape honda accord with a k20 swap..

but using EG and EK civics.. I think they shouldn't be able to go more than B18C or B20 with B16 head..

but maybe the rules are like relegion.. "open to interpretation"

what do i know

Yes

the "Big Engine" guys use 50mm restrictors in the intake

if u choose to use a smaller motor.. u're not required to use the restrictor

no... I meant that did they fix it the opposit way with engine rotating the other way?

Ok bro….allow me to clarify……

When we r talking about original mounting points, we r in-fact referring to the mounting points in the chassis and concerning the drive terrain, we r referring to the following “if the car is a front wheel drive off the shelf then it should stay that way we do not allow alterations to modify the car rear wheel”

Rolling of fenders are allowed, refer to article 6.2.3 for clarification.

Again about the Mini’s, they are Mini Cup Cars and not just any Mini….Just like the Honda Type R

I hope this clearers up any misunderstanding….kindly feel free to ask if u need more clarification concerning any matter

allow me to clarify this point......

1800cc and below must run without a 50mm restrictor, while above 1800cc to 2000cc must run with a 50mm restrictor.....

restrictors should be 120mm max distance from the throttle

Unfortunately... Otto does have a tendancy to shoot off his mouth alot. I would like it for once to come out of a guy's mouth who has W2W track experience.... and not just awali garage bolt-on bolt-off experience!

No offence, but indirectly scrutinize a set of regualations and accompany that type of scrutinzing with a smart ass sarcastic comment... is pathetic!

What does experience have to do with it?

U critisize things u have no experience with all the time I read and intrepretated them literally

It's fcukin 1 vague ass sentence. IMO it can't viewed in many ways

the rules need to be ammended and clarified and more specific

I made a valid point and provided evidence to back it up

they can make their decision any way they see fit

just cuz I'm not right in this position doesn't make it wrong either

bro it doesnt matter if you think its a stupid question seeing as you guys represent the event its your job to answer.

Actually Ahmedi, after a while you learn to filter it down. Those who do not show initiative towards learning and/or making an effort towards understanding a certain sport.. are usually ignored.

Why?

Because there are other members who genuinely have interest and ask once, then surprise us with their level of interest and knowledge towards a sport they genuinely have interest in.

When you see both sides of the spectrum, you tend to favor one over the other.

The reason why you don't think Faisal's response is right, is because you don't know about those "genuinely interested participants" who he advises on a daily basis "off the forums"

Don't praise the CRC guys, you should praise the competitors that show professionalism and make CRC's job easy!

It's the competitors and drivers that make the organizers look good!

There are no better bunch of motorsport lovers out there on the island than the 2000cc & National Sprint drivers and bikers! Those guys deserve anything and everything that the organizers can provide them!

Bu Ali, having met and spoken to Faisal and seeing his level of enthusiasm for the CRC and 2000cc is what surprised me to his response... you guys were and as always are very helpful when being asked, i know Faisal was of great help when i was asking my questions albeit it was more about the national sprint.

i know that after a while any person may get pissed off at the dumb crap that gets thrown at them, especially crap that takes away from his time, also people like to be spoon fed here, i know it sucks but thats the prevailing culuture.. it definatley is annoying even though i'm not part of the CRC i get pissed when i see the number of times you guys have to explain something so trivial. But a post on the internet can be taken out of context and be understood differently, when i read Faisal's post i saw it as you've described but someone else may read it and see it in a completley negative way!

Thats is all the point i was trying to make :).

Ahmedi jeegar, there is no room for ignorance, CRC prefer not to accomodate those who aren't 1-2-3 to the point! All CRC ask is for a little determination.. CRC do not spoon feed anyone, they never did and never will....

CRC just provide the resources and assistance for someone to finish their research on their own! These are the crowd CRC harbor.... no one else

Some may find it insulting, some may understand.. but I think after 5 years of local track availibity and all the oppoortunities CRC have given the general public to experience track driving at least once in their lives..... do not expect anything more from them!

Anyways... YOU my friend has shown to be the 1-2-3 to the point kind of person.. and CRC will do anything necessary to make sure you enjoy yourself and learn at the same time!
