It has been more than a month now since I’ve joined the gym but I’ve been there for 4 times maybe & I didn’t go there for the past 2 weeks or more..
I’ve signed up for 1 year in a gym which is less than 1KM away from my place so I don’t have any excuse not to go but still I’m too lazy to go there. :werd:
Any tips?

Are you fat or unfit?
Or do you just wanna tone up / bulk up?

I suggest taking one friend with you so you can enjoy your time
or even schedualizing your visits to there like every UTH or SMW
trust me if you se improvements, you'll be motivated to go without any one
all the best

You have to force yourself to go for the first month... after that it will be addictive once you get results.
Try taking something like t-bombII that will really get you going and want to pump some iron..
When you don't want to go to the gym do some push ups or anything to keep some sort of routine going.
Which gym do you go to btw?

First thing you should do is get a scale that can measure your body fat % and body water %.
If you want to lose weight:
Every morning, first thing when you wake up, stand on the scale and write down on a piece of paper what your weight, body fat %, and body water % is. If your body water % is up, your body fat % is gonna be down and vice versa. Thats why its always good to stay hydrated.
Once you start going to the gym, you will notice your body fat % going down, even within the first couple of days (depending on how hard you workout). Having it recorded like this will motivate you when you start noticing results, and it will keep you motivated in the long run.
Losing 1 kilo a week is a healthy target to aim for.
Don't freak out if after a week or two you notice that you're stuck at a specific weight range. That's natural, because when you lose a significant amount of weight, after about a week your body starts retaining large amounts of water, but you will soon lose that. So its normal to notice a slight pause in your weight loss.
If you want to bulk up:
The body fat % is a good indicator too. Most people say "oh i'm not really gaining weight, since muscle is 3 times heavier than fat." That's true to some extent, but having the body fat % is much more accurate. If your weight is increasing, but your body fat % is decreasing, then thats a good thing since you're building muscle, and muscle will help you burn more fat. Again, you should be writing the data down every morning to keep track of your progress.
Trust me, having it down in writing and seeing the results for yourself will give you the drive that you're looking for. It will also let you know if you start gaining weight again.
Also, a good protein supplement is a must. Something like a 100% whey protein isolate is what you want.
Take it as soon as you wake up, since a dose of protein will kick start your metabolism, and a dose right after your workout to feed your muscles.
Hope this helps

Going to the gym needs self discipline..As DXB said, when u see the rewards u will never stop. the first week or so can be a hassle getting yourself to the gym, but when the ball starts to roll, its just rolls and the results will be extremely rewarding...
But when it comes to having a fit body, remember that its 70% diet and 30% training. Keeping your healthy diet plays a major role in having a fit body..
If you need any advice just pm me and i will be too glad to help..

agoool... fe 3eed elbash beteltizim...
if ur like me, then take my advice and stop blowing ur money cuz u just wont go.. been there, done that.. haha even when i invited a friend over we both got busy, just ended up making more profit for the gym!
heres an idea.. exercise at ur own time and space.. youtube ur way and be committed.. after all its easier to commit if ur exercising at ur room lol
youtube has a lot of tips and stuff, and its very much motivating, i can even do proper push ups now cuz it always looks easy when you watch it.. hah gives u the motivation u need to keep it up!
I have joined gulfair club in Ramadan and still I never seen the inside of the club just the registration near the gate :(

Thanks for the comment sis. Bel3aks i am proud of my age to the last bit Alhamdallah.
Regarding ur friend, age is not a factor. Motivation is the key element. Once he starts going to the gym, let him start at the shallow end and go slow with weights cause the muscle pain that he might experience will discourage him from going again. Then instantly adjust his diet to a more fat free one and more protein and within a month of a reasonable workout and good diet, he will see a big difference and trust me, that difference will instantly motivate him more and more. Key factor in maintaining a fit body is a good diet. Good body is 70% diet - 30% workout...
Hope tht helps.
