Porsche Carrera vs. BMW ///M Power

Alright guys... make your choices...

would you pick Porsche Carrera (includes 2, 4 and 4S) or a BMW ///M Power (includes roadster, coupe, M3 and M5) ...

if you were to be given one of the 2 options for free, which would you take? Porsche Carrera or BMW ///M Power...?

note: porsche option does not include 996Twin Turbo, GT1, GT2, GT3 or Carrera GT.... only regular Carreras...

But if it was the up coming M5 then akeed the M5.. but for now the C4S would rock my world

well, we also own a porsche. I drove it a couple of times but the bimmer feels better :hue:

the thing is, the BMW is something you see on the roads everyday....

the carrera is not (but the way things in bahrain seem to be going, it will be!)

so most people will pick the more exotic car, which is the porsche... i dont think most people will think speed, they think looks, and more expensive, and since its a porsche, the assumption that it is fast is there (although it aint really)

yeh i totally agree man... the thing is, BMW make cars for 2 different markets... the customer who's not really an enthusiast, but enjoys quality at a low price.....and the other is the enthusiast for whom BMW produce their ///M power cars and others like the Z4,330, 545, and 745+...

To own a Porsche however, you must be an enthusiast..over the decades porsche has left its marque as the sole producer of rear-engined beasts... they dont make cars for those who wish to buy cheap.. (well maybe just the latest Cayenne V6 and the Boxter)... but other than that, all their models are "bling-bling" and therefore only appeal to one market.... the enthusiasts who are willing to spend like BD40 or 50K on a car....

but still.... i'de have to go with the Bimmer.... i prefer to show ppl what i can do rather than have them assume... to any guy in a Datsun an M3 would seem no different to a 330ci... they practically look the same....especially now that more 330 drivers are putting body kit on their cars.....

bas what they dont know is that the M3 (like all ///M's) is actually a wolf in sheeps clothing... once i put my foot down, the gates of hell open.... but they wont find out until they decide to race me...that what i like about the ///M's..... :devil:
