1 Parking in no parking zone 30 BD ممنوع الوقوف
2 Not using the seat belt while driving 50 BD عدم استخدام حزام الأمان
3 Using the cell phone while driving 50 BD استعمال الهانف اثناء القيادة
4 Eating,drinking, smoking….etc while driving 50 BD الأكل او الشرب او التدخين اثناء القيادة
5 Baby in front seats 50 BD طفل في الأمام
6 Not marking a completes stop at the stop sign 50 BD عدم التوقف تماما عند خطوط الوقوف
7 Driving a Jordanian car with foreign driving license 150 BD Plus 1-- 4 week prison or both القيادة باجازة اجنبية
8 Hit and Run 250 BD Plus 1--3 months prison or both الهروب عند الحادث
9 Crossing a RED signal light 250 BD Plus 1--3 months prison or both تعدي الاشارة الحمراء
10 Driving against the traffic in a one way street 250 BD Plus 1--3 months prison or both لقيادة عكس السير
11 Driving under the influence of ALCOHOL 500 BD 3 --6 months prison or both القيادة تحت تأثير المخدرات
12 Driving without a license 500 BD 3 --6 months prison or both
13 Exceeding the speed limit with 1--10 Km per hour 50 BD تجاوز السرعة من 1-10 كيلو
14 Exceeding the speed limit with 10 -- 20 Km per hour 100 BD تجاوز السرعة من 10 الى 20
15 Exceeding the speed limit with 20 --30 Km per hour 150 BD Plus 1 -- 3 months prison or both تجاوز السرعة من 20-30 كيلو
16 Exceeding the speed limit with 30 -- 40 Km per hour 200 BD Plus 1 -- 3 months prison or both تجاوز السرعة من 40-30 كيلو
17 Exceeding the speed limit with over 40 Km per hour 250 BD Plus 3 -- 6 month prison and withdrawal of license

This is all a pile of horseshit! Laws are fine, but whats the point if you dont implement them properly? In this part of the world, all are not equal. So naturally, the cops will slack off on these laws and they will be forgotten!

Sorry for the late reply guys, a friend of mine from the traffic dept sent me this by email. And yes i think it might be a hoax. He keeps telling me that they will implement these rules but for some reason i think that it is a bit extreme. Can u imagine a traffic cop pulling somebody over for smoking? I think the Jordanian car part makes sense, i though that there was something fishy about jordanian cars, a lot of stolen ones maybe etc...

what they should really do is ban some people from acquiring driver license like in kuwait or Dubai (specified occupations & degree holders)to ease the traffic & minimize the possibility of having an idiot behind the wheel, but in our case (Bahrain that is) there wont be any suitable alternatives, we need to add mass transportation here...there will only be a few routes & less than 10 stations....its futile ,nevermind!
