Dig Rolling or Rolling??

Just a quick poll, what do u prefer ? Racing from a dig start ? Or rolling ? (and why)

Do u like short races like 1/4 mile or long distance racing like 800meters + ?

rarely do both cars in bahrain agree on both..

usually the V8 guys want rolling.. the JDM guys want zero..

IMO they should do both.. 1 for each of the guys..


everybody wants to race to their own advantage.. and screw the competition..

most of the time the races end in fights and nobody wins...

personally.. I prefer low speed rolls 40-60 kmh
upto about 200kmh.. before things get too crazy or dangerous..

To respond to the thread -- I enjoy both zero and rolling 40-60 till 800+ metres.

For me I like races from zero till 200km/h.... anything after that is plain stupid and dangerous!

If you want a race between two people? From a dig.
If you want a race between two cars? From a roll.

From a dig, driver plays a major part. The best driver and car combination wins.
From a roll, the car plays most of the part.

So if you want to "check" between two cars, roll is the only way, you eliminate driver error.

its not stupid, its just dangerous by increasing risk of getting damaged if an accident occurs. Some people love the thrill and dont mind for a run over 300 km/h

for me every cars has its own distance.. you cant race high hp supercars till 200 kmh.. they will be burning tires half the race! and you cant let a honda civic go 2 kilos as well.

I like 40Kmph rolling better because of the wheelspin. Believe it or not my traction light still comes on when i punch it from 40 but it's not so bad :D

And it depends, if i had a AWD car...I'd prefer Dig!

depends on the car..

in street racing i prefer rolling cuz it will eliminate driver error as designo mentioned and we wont end up with "i didnt launch correctly" excuse, or "i forgot the LC"!

as for the distance, i prefer 800m+ cuz i dont see any fun in doing a rolling 400m race :p but if it was on the strip then its a different story.


and i also agree with ayood.. the track is the best way to test both driver and car :)

as ED mentioned, straight line racing is for people that cant drive..........................i say circuit racing is the fun part, everyone gets a chance to correct his F U C K up's since u tend to have many laps...................

with new cars these days, u can weld the steering wheel in a straight position and drop a brick on the peddle, the car will do everything for u including shift, traction etc....... as u can see its 5 to 10% driver and 95 to 90% car…..

if its dig or rolling, I say DIG…….since I own 2 AWD cars…dig is to my advantage

i love the track but its not something u can compete with your friends, coz there are a lot of categories , u have rwd awd turbo na heavy light modified

and the other guys who entered the track for fun and then say that straight line racing is bs, *if u're going to say u weren't serious then why u entered the track? And ud say oh i was going easy with the tires , i only floored on the straight line ? Wtf then why u came to the track ?

There are silly excuses in any type of race, and u can find good drivers in any race whether its a dig, roll or track but i agree with designo, rolling is more of a car testing, dig for driver skill in launching ( except pdk :p) And track is for everything including the driver weight, car setup, weather, wind , brakes , everything .... And i love the track but i think it costs a lot plus its not something u can do with any one anytime*
