As some of you already know, i was looking for a used 2007+ 997TT Manual for some time as a second car next to the FJ. but somehow i feel that owning a porsche, let alone a 997TT, would give me a hard time.

So, instead, i thought of buying a 2005+ Mustang. Yes, a Mustang! :p but, not for performance. im thinking of doing showcar project. like bodykits, rimz, decals, vinyls..etc. and participating in nation and regional events car show events.

So what do u guyz think?

tell me what are you exactly afraid of from the m5/6 ? if you mean engine believe me it's bullit proof off course if the car was maintained good. the only expinsive part is clutch/flywheel which will cost you BD1500 and it will last atleast for 45/50 K kilometers if driven good and not abused I.E lots of launch controls or clutch drop starts .

and BTW that blue is not mine just saw it's ad on another forum.

the CS is a good car tarra

it still has 376hp and it's rwd, which makes it lighter and more nimble than the TT

even a base model 911 is still a good car..

ur evo comparison is waaaay off dude..

oh and btw the Turbo's depreciate alot worse then the other models...
so ur "investment" is better protected in a CS as well

For 30K there are a huge variety of cars you get your hands on...

1) 2011 Mustang : nice car but at the end of the day there will be only so much you can do to it in terms of looks, performance wise get the Shelby GT500 and swap the blower out for a Kenny Bell blower.
2) Z06: Nothing wrong there
3) Used Viper: Looks wise you'll be kind of limited...
4) Used 911: Putting it simply it's an amazing car if you plan to keep it stock, so out of the question
5) Used ZR1 from the states maybe?
6) New 370Z with a ton of mods?
7) Used GTR....nuff said
8) M5 is nice, but i'm not a BMW fan so my opinion is a bit biased here
9) Camaro SS2, not much of a looker though
10) If you want to go all out on mods then buy a used C5 and dump in a fully built LS7

but, i see your point dont get me wrong bro.. i have had to porsche in my mind for quite some time now. and i like the 997TT + manual tranny for that extra grip+pull. if i preferred the Carrera then i'll get the 4S, but why get a 4S when there's a TT option which will give me extra +100hp for a bit more?

In that case get the Stang, ma3alaik min A7ad. As long as you'll be happy with. Bas get a GT500 atleast...

By the way the 2011 Stangs if i am not mistaken are going to be Iron Blocks, ya3ni almost bullet proof... I'll double check on that though..

Correction the Shelby will have an aluminium block so i am guessing the GT will have the same but here's something interesting for you....

in qatar, rich boys are going out in classic stingrays, old RR's and mercs and park their boring brand new ferraries at home!!

And put in mind that most of us dont like stangs that are all show and no go :p why not get an M5 that's gorgeous AND powerful as well ?

Bro, my advise is get a 997TT and get in touch with Protomotive for a bit of mods and you'll have one hell of a fast 997...Not that cheap but it sure will rock ur brains with the performance.
