you have to take into account logistical costs for actually putting this lottery together, then marketing costs, as well as staff costs for maintaining the whole thing, a little bit of profit on the side, and there you go. its not such a bad deal.

^^^ as per calculations
5000 Tickets X BD100 = BD500,000
Price : 375,000
Total Turnover minus the Prize Value = BD125,000 , moreover I wonder how it cost's them for putting this business up ?

I'm estimating costs to be close to BHD25,000 if we're calculating draw logistics, staffing, stands etc, and mostly marketing. Still, you're making a good 100k. And no designo, they dont need to finance, as by the time they actually have to pay out the cash prize, they've already sold all the tickets and put the money in a short term interest bearing account. It makes sense. Wanna start one up in Bahrain? I mean, Bahrain Duty Free does the cars, but as long as we can put up the marketing/operating budget we should be looking to make quite a bit of moolah. Doesn't need to be as extreme as 100 dinar ticket, we could be selling 10 dinar tickets for a lower prize, just make it as attractive (100,000 dinars, a salary for the next 10 years, whatever).
