the previous greek government mis-represented figures about the company's deficit and sold their debt to foreigners for less of a risk premium than they should have... current prime minister just revealed the magnitude of the problem and its not just a small deficit. the country is bankrupt. this story is a few months old (EU has been in talks on whether or not to bail out greece or whether they can fix their own probs) but its reached its peak a few days ago when the EU said, ok, we'll bail u out, but u gotta really pull ur belts and freeze some wages, slap on higher taxes etc which really pissed off the people, therefore, riots an stuff

I say they should get Greece out of the EU and put Turkey in its place! The Turks deserve it! That way, when Otto gets dragged into the Turkish army, he'll be able to buy his doner kebaps in Euros.
