i think now after 2 years the tunners figured the car inside out and it will to our advantage
cant wait till november for the comparison but i'm sure you have a differnt setup , as i recall your car will be pure circuit and daily driver
i hate circuit mine will be pure for street 0 to 300 km/h ( i hope bahrain traffic dept dont install the new cameras like uae if they do my project is fuxxxxed ) loool

after quiting drag racing , i have all the time and energy and one important thing ( cash ) to do projects
this summer i'm focused on two cars
the gtr and the subi
i'm more excited in the subi to be honest
cause by the time i build my gtr every guy in the usa will have the same power or much more
in subi it will be unique
some inside info about the subi
aiming for 700+ awhp
sequential tranny
complete built motor with heads
full suspension work and offcourse , nice set of volks

Wont be daily driven khalas, shiba3t minha. Time to mod and keep.

3ajeeb, your setup will defo be great for 0-300 runs and amazing for 400m runs! It will EASILY break into the 8's and 7's if its extremely light weight. But for me, i dont want to fck up the cornering physics with too much power and lag. I changed my mind on the turbo's that i told you about, went for a turbo replacement no one has used yet with manifolds and external wastegates, engine will have extremely light weight internals, full head work, and 90mm downpipes and 102mm midpipe and exhaust. With this setup im gunning for should be very responsive. Basically im trying to achieve 3 modes..street, drag, and circuit ( i dont track the car alot but just incase i do it will be ready for it ).

I want a comparison run to see how much of a gap you will be ahead of me with your setup, i wont be close but its worth doing it. Cant wait too, and Insha'Allah they finish the car in November.

but i'm not sure about the build , they have build twin turbo and super charge but they failed
lets see how this guy will do with the single turbo if it works why not and end of the day we have to promote our brands

I didnt want to say anything, but watching alot of my friends drag racing in their cars which were getting quicker and quicker made me worry about your safeties. I don;t wanna see any of my friends injured, but I know its a sport and you guys love it! Bas alhamdilllah, God is with you guys and keeps you safe!

I have yet to see a Subi that suffers from major problems (compared to the evo) since the first GEN (in stock form). All I know is for my personal choice I would pick an STI over an EVO any day of the week because of its better finishing. Those STIs are bullet proof mashallah, they can handle heavy footed owners and rigid situations but as you said this is a new generation of STI and we will have to wait and see REGARDLESS it's an STI and it can rip the asphalt before it rips its own tranny.

regarding the orange paint , its a custom paint made for me by house of kolor ( i love that color and its unique )
i will tell you the story of the paint
in 2007 i had some guestn from house of kolor regarding paint supply to our work shop after the meeting i took them over to see my supra i had an issue
with the paint , the paint was from another supplier and it was yellow , after the guy saw my car he told me we will do you a custom color only for you
so after a week i got a sample and loved it so i sprayed the supra after that by a year or so i got the gtr in white , i loved the white but the problem with nissan white its yellowish a bit
its like pearl white , so i decided on changing the color the same day i was ordering the zele body kit , the website of zele had a similar orange
so i said to my self , let me be unique and differnt and i went with the orange and to tell you truth i love it
the cool thing about the paint , is the shaded changes from morning to night the pictures does not make justice to the car
the other two cars i have in orange was suggested by my friends to do .

also i copied the gtr lemans hood , in my opinion by that time it was the only design availble

yes i meant sometime before the new season starts..
got few new mods, but won't really get any benefit as long as i'm going to use pump gas... maybe a bit better with the methanol kit i'm going to install, but still needs some good gas to get the power out..
worth it using VP gas when the drag strip is available...

currently working on the turbo lag i'm getting when I shift after 6k rpm (only in manual)... OEM ECU got sort of a safety thing which causes that... It's almost fixed, just few touches and it would be perfect.. :)

Exactly what I'm feeling, I need to get me a GTR after going through this thread with the list of GIZMOs on the GTR.. I love that MFD the car has, it's playstationish!!! But it still remains as a confusion, you'd always want to get a hardcore manual with a rock-hard clutch that would break your leg after a few shifts!

Yet, that transmission upgrade is amazing as well. This world has come to chemistry, physics and programming! Not like the old days were everything was made like a concrete because they don't know how to calculate for the limits!! haha!!

And about that transmission, mashallah...That's actually pretty quick what they're doing at Dadson's... Those mechanics deserve a round of applause for what they're doing mashallah 3alaihum..

i drove the car mashalla the trans is holding well at last i'm in love with the gtr again
i'm back to the old launch control the car launches like a rocket mashalla
i feel like i can beat a bike from a stand still easily ( in my opinion )

i'm against that , loooooool

all of my cars are heavy as hell

i'm against physics , i like heavy car with ton of power

carbon fiber is nice , i used to have carbon fiber parts on my supra , they do save weight but after few years it makes the car look old ( in my opinion )

the gtr is a keeper for sure , so for now i will stick with what i have , i'm just waiting for my new wing

RX7's hold their value pretty well in the USA.. even with teh crisis...

a decent one will cost u around 20-25,000 depending on the level of modifications and mileage etc, I've seen rolling chassis selling for 7k, I'll find some links for u and post them

they were only made for 3 years in the USA.. 93,94,95.. after that they only came Rhd

the US had 3 versions, Base,Touring and R1

the base is base lol

Touring was the luxury version with leather,sunroof,bose sounsystem CD player, soft suspension, and single oil cooler

R1 is has suede seats,sport susp, front and rear strut bars, dual oil coolers, and other performance oriented things..

with a car this old tho, most ppl have changed alot of the things anyway.. My car is a 1993 R1

Rotary is fine, as long as u don't do 2 things (overheat it, detonate in it)
so either u use good fuel, conservative tune, or water/alky injection

the other reason we don't have them in the gulf, is lack of support, no mechanics know how to work on them, lack of spare parts etc..

u know how it is here, ppl don't like change, or things they're not used to..

if we don't get cars like the IS-F or IS350 or even the RS5 or S3, I doubt the rotary will make it here either

(that being said, we had RX8's in kuwait,qatar and dubai, and one of my 2nd gen RX7's is gulf spec as well) it was only the 3rd generation (93-95) that didn't make it here
