change from auto to manual

hey guys i have a 330ci 2004 model, its automatic, and i want to change it to manual does anyone know how much it will cost.. and if its okay for the diffrensial.... and if it would be more powerfull?? :tmi: plz :english:

it has been asked before, my advice to you is sell ur car and buy a manual or trade it in or something. It will probably cost way too much and i dont think any garage in bahrain would do it, even if they do they'll mess up your car..if you go to any mechanic he'll tell you the same thing..

it's a brand new car... why did u even buy it if u wanted manual in the first place?

it'll be hard to locate all the transmission components and electronics required for such a new car

and yes the differential is diff on the auto then the manual...

not to mention u'll completely void your warranty on your brand new car as well...

overall u'd probably have an easier time swapping an //m engine into it with trans and ecu then just a tranny swap...

for 5K BD u could supercharge your 330 and all kindsa bolt on mods and put in good sound system and beat m3's no problem!!

about the switch to manual, i wouldnt suggest it on a new bmw... or most new cars for that matter... keep the car a few yrs the way it is, and switch to manual later, then it wont cost so much, and even when things go wrong it wont be THAT big a deal its not like u just spent 20 on a car and stuff

i dont have this much of money to throw around , its just that my dad sell's and buys car so he wants me to have the car that i want ( bi7dood 3ad ) so i do well in UNI he knows that when im satisfied with something he gives me i do the best to make him happy :)

I asked the hamann showroom here and they said they will do with no problems (not that expensive) but they need to find the transmission which is hard to get and expensive. At the end it will cost something like 4000/5000 bd, if you want to spend that money, get a supercharger for almost 2500 which will give the 330 about 340HP and you can easily kill M3s.

5000 dinars for a frickin gearbox????

**** I wish i didn't sell that 735iL, the new gearbox was only 150 dinars and I can do burnouts alot easier with it and FEEL FASTER in it.
