Nissan promised from the very start that it would continuously improve the GT-R rather than wait for the traditional model refresh cycle. Up to this point, the improvements have been geared toward keeping the super coupe from self-destructing.

In this case, however, the GT-R appears to be getting some actual upgrades. That front air dam has been reworked a little and the rear diffuser has a new shape as well. There were both standard and Spec V GT-Rs at the track, so assume these are across the board changes.

The ones selling right now are the 2011's. The 2012's will be the ones facelifted, custom interior ( build your own ), better nav, better res nav, the transmission will be the same, rumors say it will have a new oil pump, VDC cannot be turned fully OFF ( there will be a software release to go OFF ). It will have a better suspension, aerodynamics is changed a bit and a different head. The 2012's will start at $85-$87K, a $10,000 price bump.

Not really. This has been a back and forth war between Nissan and Porsche, ilee sawa faw'6a is Nissan when they started to rival the 959 Porsche with the GTR since 1985.

I wish the best of luck for Nissan with their GT-R program, its a world beating car that made the likes of Porsche up their game big time.

I'm sure we will see great things from these guys in the future!

The 10K+ is the MSRP, there will be a mark up once they put them for sale, im guessing they'll sell in the $95K range.

Over here, im sure they'll cost around 47-50K Dinars.

Kleeman: Not the GCC specs. If its a US or Euro spec they'll go for atleast 30'sh.

No Spec V at the moment for 2012, the pics on my first post is not the specV, its the SpecM ( the one that you can customize from factory ). The SpecV will follow later then followed by the Spec EVO ( Light weight, wider, and track prepped like the GT2RS ).

and why cant they just release SpecW= "Why Cant I Get A Normal Car For Crying Out Loud"

sorry Q for goin off-topic just wanted to bug u but going back to topic i think there is no stop for Nissan now .. i think by 2012 the GT-R will make easy 600HP right from the dealer and with huge suspension upgrade

50k dinnars is no joke for a car and i still would rather get a 997 instead but to each his taste and 6arba as they say

I was right....triple canards coming, and they're not flowing, too sharp for the GTR's boxy design.

It has only been three years since the Nissan GT-R first rolled off its Tochigi assembly line, but it looks like it's already time for a minor refresh.

Spotted on the Nurburgring recently were a pair of lightly camouflaged GT-Rs, one a standard version and the other a limited run SpecV edition (we only snapped the SpecV).

Look closely and you'll notice a few changes compared to today's 2011 model. The front bumper's upper and inner inlet is wider. Set below and in front of the forged wheels is a triplet of aerodynamic bevels in place of the current car's duet.

At the rear behind the rear tires is a set of outlets, as well as a completely revised diffuser that's more aggressive and angular. Whether or not this diffuser will become standard on regular GT-Rs or just on SpecVs is unclear.

Rumors persist that a refreshed model is coming to Japan later this year.

Then again, this could also be the anticipated $210,000 GT-R SpecM -- the gentleman's Godzilla -- which we reported on last spring.

Not only will it be the most expensive GT-R yet, but it will be the most luxurious and performance oriented. The SpecM gets a revised cockpit filled with carbon fiber, high grade leathers, and plush Alcantara. Standard issue are the SpecV's $50,000 carbon ceramic Brembos and 15 horsepower bump over the garden variety R35.

It also gets a revised diffuser, an extra cooling duct that feeds the oil cooler, lightweight wheels, and modified suspension and transmission settings.

Thats more like it!

The GTR starts making 60 to 75whp on the canned map that comes with the device. A custom tune will will give her easy 100whp+ midpipe. The SpecV with a custom tune only, makes 140whp over stock with no other mods!
