Kleeman: All the CF ones look OEM. Except the one by Mines, i want it but its too expensive for a cover ( $2200+ )

So i went for a different look with the CF. Will have a full frame out of Dry CF like this but by PWJDM + the upper covers:

That engine cover looks neat :), IMO the engine bay will look much better if you powder coat the intake, valve covers and the front timing cove. all in black.

the engine will have the industrial look.

Updated version,:

The difference in the cover today is it has the front cutout which chamfers smoothly to meet a CF insert. In the back of the cover, the back wall was also angled.

Tomorrow we will work on cutting out the back slanted wall and putting smooth chamfers on the window to have another CF piece in it. So the Delux model will be done as far as the mock up is concerned, the few coming weeks will be dedicated to perfect all the lines and the quality of the piece before the mold is made. SMS is trying to finish this asap and they are very happy about the enthusiasm that this product has generated.

Salah ( SMS ) slanted the back wall of the cover and when i asked him why he explained that it would be better for the CF to be slanted for a few reasons, mainly to get more light instead of hiding in the shadow and when you pop the hood it would look much better looking straight at you.

SMS had a sheet laying around that he used for his Drag car. I'll be getting some DRY CF sheets soon, 2x2, 1x1 and 4x4 weaves. Let me know...

As you can see, the back part of the cover that is now slanted has a CF insert facing you when you pop up the hood. They also chamfered the middle part to match the curves thats going on, and let me tell you guys at close inspection those lines look damn good!

Pics really dont make the cover justice even normal spray paint out of a can it still turned out very well, i can only imagine if it was prepped and painted properly so a perfect mold can be pulled off of it. From what i gathered today at the shop that tomorrow is going to be the first day of final prepping, in other words all the uneven gaps will be sorted, all the chamfers would be the same radius all the way around the cutouts. So from now on its detailing..detailing...detailing... When the masterpiece is complete and the guys at SMS are satisfied with the quality they will go into production.

Here are a few samples that we played around with the spray cans.

linea rossa - which is italian for redline

If that's a custom part y not cover more of the engine bay?

Bigger in the rear for those big hoses and harness

And for the front of the engine.

Yes it’s a turbo car !!! but it have lots of piping and they are not organized

Ether you go full show (covered) or naked (racing) with CF functional
Parts.

And what's with the twin radiator cap?

oh yahh CF every thing.

Still in prototype stage. More stuff will be added.

The hoses are all organized like the way it came from factory.
Most hoses will be replaced with braided lines in black.
Check post number 6.
