hi there
my friend owen a LT-1 1994 camaro USA type
the engine is 5ala9 e5mam
and he found LT-1 1997 just the engine JAP type
and he wondering if the engine will work with the USA computer(the original for the car)
so help us please

it will as i heard the only difference between the 2 specs r the ratio and the cats :confused:

the 97 is stronger la than 94
so it will work on the USA computer 3ady?

y dont u wait till tomorrow morning and then let yasser go ask one of the mechanics .. here u might get an answer that is not reliable and no one would be responsible of the out come ..
this way he wont loose his money or make a mistake by buying it :up2:

from what i know, the 97 LT1s were rated higher coz of a change in the exhaust system on fbodies (nothing to do with engine), and the air intake is different..so the engine is the same..even if the computer is different, if the sensors and everything are the same then the engine should run fine..double check with someone who;s worked a lot on them, they'll probably tell you the same thing.
