Thursday open track days

Just read in the papers that thursdays will be open track with full and half day packages. 9am to 5pm and 1pm to 5pm. Should work great for our friends accross the bridge!!!

Now let us get a collective vote on installing lights at BIC and extending this thursday track day from 5pm to 12 midnight...

Oh that would be grreaatt. But it's not exactly as easy as installing bunch of light bulbs mate. I'm guessing the whole circuit should have been designed in the first place to be used for night driving as well. I can't see this happening as it's a big safety issue. But never say never!

Nothing is impossible ;) I've seen preliminary quotes for lighting the club circuit and although expensive it extends the rent-able time of the track significantly and does make business sense. The problem is not the cost of the lighting but the lack of events :P

Night driving would be so great, especially for the car, instead of beating on it at mid day ..

Is that track making any events other than the F1? I mean really that track is like closed to the public compared to the one in Uae and qatar.
But anyway its a nice idea..i mean the long straight should be a nice shootout.

i do agree with pink fluff that we do lack events here in bahrain. if you see what goes on in qatar and uae then you would know how they optimize the use of the circuit.

i came once last year for an open track and i was shocked that it was just 9 cars. now that was a shock and beside that they only had one race series batelco cup or something and a drag event.

let's see what the coming months bring and if bic put more effort in having more events for the public and the car enthusiasts.
