New Nokia N8?

Am thinking of getting a new mobile phone and it would be a Nokia ofcourse (Loyal Customer). I heard about the Nokia N8 and I looked around the net for some information and I liked it, question is .. anyone ever heard of it? anyone seen it around in the market?

My current is a touch and its a Nokia, am so satisfied with it but a phone cant survive with me for more than a year thats why I wanna change it :)

your Current Touch has a keyboard as well , this one will have the keyboard on screen

i know you're gonna buy it anyways, so i'm not gonna tell you what Touch phones are better , just get this one and you'll be satisfied , next year N11 will come out with 20Megapixels , 1080 video, HIGH DEFINITION games , etc and you'll be satisfied with it , believe me , you're only satisfied coz you didn't try a REAL smartphone, BUT the N8 is made just for you , it fits you :D

Symbian operating system works fine with regular phones but it isn't designed from scratch like other os's to work on touch from the ground up
So it doesn't work like it should and is a bit of a hack job.
If u REALLY want the phone, I suggest u try to play with one first and see if it's the phone for u.

I did the same thing with a galaxy s and I was impressed. I'm looking to sell my 3GS and buy a galaxy s or tab first chance I get!

hehe yeah man.. i'm impressed with the nerdiness of android.. the little things like how the battery compsumption is broken down for u and stuff like that...

and for 240bd it's not a bad price for all that hardware..

and when samsung releases their version of 2.2 for the phone, it should get even better..

it'll fix all the things I hate about my iphone..

The thing with the N8 is, since you're getting a SMARTphone, the Symbian^3 OS isnt very smart and there's just not enough of a market for apps and whatnot, it's a huge let down that Nokias isnt moving over to android of pushing their Meego/Maemo OS that is way better. Other than that, Iphones are easy and Android phones are to phones what project cars are to petrolheads, there's a million things to tinker with to customize it your way, something you dont get as much in an iphone.
