Based loosely on the Range Stormer Concept, Land Rover's four-door Range Sport was recently caught Germany.

Code-named L320, the all-new Range Sport will be sized between the upcoming Discovery replacement and the Range Rover, and will be built to compete with Volkswagen's Touareg, the BMW X5 and the non-turbo Porsche Cayenne models.

Although Land Rover has shown a two-door concept at the NAIAS in Detroit, the actual production version will have four doors as shown in these exclusive pictures.

With sporty, more aerodynamic styling and adorned with luxury features, the Range Sport will be share components with both the new Discovery replacement (modular floorpan and more) and the bigger Range Rover, including styling cues and engine offerings.

Sources tell us that the Range Sport, also referred to as the Range Stormer (like the concept), will likely be powered by Ford Duratec V-6 and Jaguar V-8 engines. We expect the four-door production version to arrive in early 2005, with a possible two-door version to follow.
