Ok, I've heard that there's a way to back up your bbm profile using an email or the memory card. It backs up the dp, the list, the nickname on top and probably the nickname at the bottom (the one that's beside your status).

So any one know how to do this?

Go to your BBM options .. scroll down a bit ... and u'll find the backup option

once u click it, it will tell u to choose between remote "email" backup or local memory "device or memory card" backup.

u must have atleast BBM v5.0.0.57

wait, how do i find what version it is??

Go to your Phone's Options > Applications > select "Add-on" from the drop down list and u'll see the version

and download it


But, before doing this step. As a security measure, connect your BB to your computer and backup the whole device using the Blackberry Desktop Software. After device backup is complete, you may proceed to downloading the BBM software from the link i gave you.

send me your BB pin oo be9eer ok ebro7a :D put the mark on the bar that you can change your status/display name/picture then press menu then option scroll down and you will see restore a backup

well depends on your definition on change. It will change the layout a bit and adds more smilie's "not in the menu but as codes" and the most important change is what you are looking for :) backup and restore BBM contacts

Now i went to my bbm, then clicked options>about bbm
and it says 5.0.0.57 :blink:
I didn't do anything :s

ok, I've checked the back up option you mentioned above, still I can't find it :s
all I have it backing up the list =(

oh wait, when I click on Back Up Contact List, I get Back Up Files Remotely and Back Up files locally
