Hi all
Looking into getting myself an IPad2 at some point in the next few weeks, my question though is there any way that one can connect an external HD to it via USB? If i'm traveling and want to use this device I am going to want to back up files to a USB so its sort of important!
Or maybe someone could recommend a better tablet to invest in which would allow this?
Thanks

save up the money, and stick to the book, Ipads are just for the kicks like coffee shops, or casual emailing.

Bro thanks for your feedback -- how can you do that? Do I need to get a USB converter plug or something? If so, is this available in Bahrain?

Bro, there is an Apple adapter for the iPad called officially "Camera Kit". which includes two adapters, one with USB port, and the other with SD-card Reader. Hence the name, it only transfers music and maybe video's from compatible file formats and devices. i dont think it will be able to read or transfer other contents.
Unless Mr. Faisal "smarty pants" AlShaf3i knowsanother way around it (which i doubt).. there is no other way tp connect external HDD to ur iPad.

loooooool you guys are too funny! Phoenix - so what you're saying is if say I have a movie on my Memory Stick and want to watch it on the iPad2 directly off the Memory Stick (without transferring it to the iPad) through VLC or something - it won't be able to open and play it?

Instead of a one-on-one phone conversation, why don't you post your solution here so that other members can benefit also? I'm sure we will greatly appreciate it. :)
