ok man today was a ma2sa!

my girl was going to mujama3 el dana to pick up something and i got a call from her she was freaked out like hell... infront of dawar el dana (the small one) there were policemen firing guns into the air to try and scare away the rioters... and there was a huge group of protestors coming from the other side and lots of them were basically destroying anything in their path... this was around 5ish

they were stopping cars and breaking stuff and whatever... walla nas a'3beya sometimes when u put too many ppl together this is what happens :nono2: later on when i passed by the area at about 8 i saw one of those police land rover defenders burnt 7ada, another police jeep which looks like it got in an accident (but i later figured out it was ppl who did that) and ma2sa wala...

what the hell... people protesting against america and they screw up their own country

i dont get this... mob mentality.. its a wierd form of psychology

ok i talked to a lot of people and followed up what happened yesterday and heres the basic lowdown of what happened:

there was basically a rally to oppose what was going on in iraq, in najaf and karbala
the rally started off peacefully at around 4ish or so... people were chanting out things
the police started getting angry and i think they had orders to not let things get out of hand, and to start using violent means if they do
well basically they started with tear gas and i dunno what and it hit a few men, women and children who lost consiousness on the side of the road
the leader of the rally tried to talk to the police but they wouldnt listen
the crowd started getting angry, they were doing everything peacefully and they werent given a chance, so they walked all the way to the police, who started firing bullets in the air and using more tear gas
the crowd got even more angry and basically mob behavior takes over from there and chaos goes on

i dont understand why we have to go through all this
it started off as a basic rally and people protesting against america and stuff why do they have to be oppressed and actually have violence used against them? protests happen everywhere in the world

anyway, i heard wazeer el da5eleya was replaced today by his majesty King Hamad. I personally see this as a good move and hope it makes some positive changes
