Slide ‘N Glide ‘s first drift event will be held at BIC (Bahrain International Circuit) located in Sakhir on Saturday, October 22nd 2011 starting at 9 AM until 5 PM. the event will be divided into 3 sessions:
Practice session 1 (Slide ‘N Glide staff will ride with you)
Practice session 2 (On your own unless you want someone with you)
Competition (No pressure, it’s just for fun!)
Before the event we will have the registration, applying the stickers, and briefing. also expect a brief coffee breaks between each of the sessions mentioned above.
At the end of the day we will be Announcing the winner (again it’s not D1GP or Formula D, we are only here for fun and the love of drifting).
Objective and Cause:
Slide ‘N Glide Team has 2 main objectives other than having fun obviously:
Promoting and growing the drifting community in the region
Giving back to society
Slide ‘N Glide will be donating 25% of any revenue they receive from event’s sponsorship to an organization or a charity. On our first event we will be donating the 25% to Steps Rehabilitation Center to cover some of the expenses for their patients if we get sponsored.
Steps Rehabilitation Center (Located in Manama, Bahrain) offers a range of program for children with the following challenges (and more):
Cerebral Palsy
Autism
Traumatic Brain Injury
Development Delay
Near Drowning

Rules and Regulation
To participate in Slide ‘N Glide Drift Event at the Bahrain International Circuit on October 22nd we have very important information for you. This information includes rules, regulations, and requirements that are being implemented to make sure that the drivers, cars, spectators and everyone else is in the right and safe environment.
Drivers:
10 BD Entrance fee
Must sign a (BIC) waiver and fill out our driver registration form
Participating drivers must be over 18 or have a valid driver’s license
Helmets are required on the track
Open shoes are not allowed
Cars:
Working seat belt
Cars will NOT be allowed on the track without the stickers applied
MUST be a rear wheel drive car
Car body must be in a good condition (no dents or peeled body paint)
Removing wheel caps is mandatory (if applicable)
Car lights must be in good condition or removed/taped if broken in order to join
Preferred but not mandatory:
- Limited Slip Differential
- Lightweight coupe
- Manual transmission
- Tightened e-brake (hand brake)
Drift Arena/Track Rules:
ONE car on the drift track during the run
A driver that fails to exit the track after being signaled will get a warning. The driver that receives a second warning will not be allowed back on the track
In case of a break down the driver should immediately exit the track
In case of spinning out, STOP and go start from the beginning
If you hit a cone during the run, STOP and wait until the cone is put back before your start again

To make sure you get the maximum driving time please arrive as early as possible.

Pirelli will be available during the event for any required tire changes, you can also contact us ahead of the event to request specific tires and Pirelli will bring them. (Tires prices and labor charges are between Pirelli and the participant)
