Its made possible by NFC (near field communications) Technology

they're also using it to implement Google Wallet.. which is in the trial stage in the states

really cool possibilities on the android i love the way its going. i found this cool app that uses the s2's radio to scan for high db frequencies, works like a radar detector, ive been trying to test it but for 5 days now havent encountered a single camera or muroor scanner :p as long as they are carrying the rf scanners :p
