Vehicle Description
This 1990 Nissan 300ZX is one of the rarest 300ZXs in existence, if not the rarest. Outside of the fact that it is the first in existence late model (Z32) 300ZX to be powered by an LS1, it happens to be one of the rarest color combinations. The Azure Blue Pearl color exterior is rare enough, but when combined with the blue interior, it makes for an amazing unique combination. In fact, that combination was so rare that it was said to have not existed!! Here is your chance to prove that wrong. This 300ZX is the 2+2 body style so it has a longer more sleek look to it that most 300ZXs you find. It has never been in a major accident and has the original paint. If you notice the VIN number, you will also see that it was the 434th Z32 300ZX to exist.
As featured in the latest Sport Z Magazine, this conversion project was unprecedented. I highly recommend picking up a copy of the latest Sport Z Magazine at your local Barnes and Noble or Hastings stores. http://www.sportzmagazine.com/Z_Preview.html The article includes much information on the history of the project as well as additional information and pictures of the imfamous LS1 300ZX. If fame is what you want from your car, this is the car to do it with. All are curious to see it, and you will be the envy of many. The 5.7 liter V8 LS1 engine, (the same as can be found in the latest model Corvettes) is an engineering feat. Its all aluminum design give it a huge weight advantage over other V8’s in its class. In fact, the LS1 and the accompanying 4L60E Automatic transmission are just over 150 lbs lighter than the stock VG30DE V6 engine and transmission that can be found in the stock 300ZX!! The LS1 also fits in the 300ZX engine bay with room to spare unlike the stock V6 motor. Plenty of room for a supercharger setup or maybe even a twin turbo setup. Sure a twin turbo V6 is fun… but imagine a twin turbo V8! In addition, any future modifications you may want to work with will be, by far, less expensive than any you may find for the stock 300ZX. Replacement and performance parts are significantly cheaper and more pletiful for the LS1. Now regarding modifications, this is obviously not your run of the mill 300ZX. The V8 certainly helps….but there are also a significant number of additional modifications that give this Z mind blowing torque. Anything over ¼ throttle from a stop, will burn up the tires. The estimated hp level for this beast is around 400hp to the rear wheels, UNTUNED with gobs of torque at the low end. Here is a compilation of the modifications to this beast.
