why do so many ppl hate manual

I don't know how ppl don't like manual cars..

I searched high and low to find one.. and i envy the saudi's with manual Maxima's and such...


it's not a big deal to shift, infact I LIKE shifting. i feel more in control of the car..


A.) manual is faster
B.)manual is easier to fix
C.)manual is more fuel economical
d.) Manual car is cheaper to buy (auto is an option 300+BD)
E.)manual gearbox is LIGHTER than a Slushbox auto
F.)LSD! (u can even add it later to some cars like Hondas)
G.) u can tune gearbox, clutch plate, flywheel example
H.)Manual trannies can hold alot more power than an Auto... (take supra for example)
I.)Auto tranny has alot more power loss through it's tranny than manual same car same engine diff tranny put them on the Dyno manual has more power to the wheels...




other than auto being for the lazy man or the handicapped what advantage does it have?

i can't imagine such a wide torque band through a manual tranny it must be heavan


also i wanna drive a Manual BMW, i heard they have such smooth trannies..everyone i know has auto's. i was disapointed when my buddy but the Z4 3.0 in Auto(only one with 18's in bah) , said Euro motors didn't even have manuals... :(

I wish my dad's 325iS was manual :( i feel like the car is being wasted...

well...most people get bored of shiftting ...belthaaaat ehnee bel Ba7rain...you can't have fun shiftting at all because of all this dawaaaraaat and traffic lights..

see stoppin and starting MAKES it fun :P

if it's just highway.. bass U throw it in 5 or 6 and u cruise...


in europe most cars are manual cuz of the gas prices and such..

think about london paris amsterdam Istanbul, traffic slow crawling they all got manual

i even see 5 and 7 series Manual!!

Well,

Maybe because manual cars have bad resell value. I Love manual but I guess after time I will get bored of it. Specially in bahrain roads where you have to make thousand of stop before reaching your destination. Besides, my family may need the car and they already forgot how to drive manual!

I love manuals...i use a manual car now. and i have fun driving it..
ottoman.if me meet some day,i will teach how to drive manuals if u want, and how to shift for races...

The reason ppl in bahrain dont like using Manual transmission is because of the round-a-bouts and traffic lights that are everywhere!!!

Imagen u come back from work, school, collage...etc and ur human RPM is high from everything ..... and the only thing u need now is the less amount of body activity ....... would u recommend using Manual tranny then? ... bl3aks ... u'll start taking ur family's car for ur meshaweer because its an Auto and requirs less activity, so u can do ur meshaweer with ease and flexability :)


Manual is not recommended for a small country like Bahrain ... its for large countries with looooooong distance traveling and, as u said, its more economical .

i love manual, and most ppl who complain about it being a bother drive it for one month, and youll notice it becomes a habit... shai 3adi... u drive without thinking about it...

ana i used to have 3 manual cars in dubai, CRX, Eclipse and a 3000GT... And dubai traffic is BAD... i used to go from my appt to work everyday through HELL traffic, approx 1 hour from my home to work, and almost all of this time is through slow moving traffic... so '3a9ban 3alaik u get used to it :)

depends wala, some cars have soft easy clutches while some have really heavy ones... i drove a manual GMC and got stuck in a really long traffic jam my LEG was gonna fall OFF men kether ma te3bat thats a really rough clutch

Both my cars are manual...
Evo with a 5 speed manual
and the Classic Mini Cooper with 4 speed manual..

Evo was my first manual car .. so it was a disaster at first.. burned few clutches before I learned how to shift .. Now.. It comes naturally.. although I must say each car got a different point of shifting.. Like the Evo and the S2000.. You feel that the Evo gear is a lot harder to get into and out from.. the S a lot smooth. yeah you might say it's your syncro.. no it's normally that way coz that's what I though at the begining.. But after I drove few other Evo's it felt the same.. The mini on the other hand. lol. well it's hard to get anything out of that car .. I dought I could burn the clutch on that even if I tried. coz no power at all. hehe :confused: :lmao: :lmao:
