alright guys, my friend doesnt know **** about cars, and he's asked me to help him out with buying a new car. he drives a 2000 LS400, and a 2001 740il.

he has an open budget for his car, so here are the choices we came down to:

1. Black on Cream ferrari 360 spider
2. wait fo the porsche 996 TTS (Turbo S)
3. Black on orange 996tt convertible, and a black on orange Cayenne turbo (both cars at once)

ur help will be greatly appreciated :)

we dont have a lambo dealer.. chan we wouldve gone with the murcielago ofcourse, but he talked to his dad yesterday, and he said its all up to him, i talked to him about the ferrari not being an everyday car. the service isnt as bad as i thought it tould be, its once every 10,000 km and ranged from 400 - 500 bd, while the 996tt's service is once every 30,000 km and is somewhere between 120 - 140 bd only, which is like any other car. the cayenne turbo is a great car also, and two cars are better than one, but theyre no unique anymore... actually, not unique at all! the new X5's are more unique than the cayenne nowadays. btw, is there any performance difference btween the coupe and the roadster version? not that it matters, but just asking. and as for.. the ferrari, well.... its a ferrari! the price is 68k and theres a silver spider as well for 63k

tell him to wait for the new M5 and take that.... plus take the 996tt convertiable (black / orange) for now..(or the f 360 which would be a better choice)

with that kind of money he can get:

C6 + E60 M5 + FX45

ask ur friend if he wants to sell the LS400 and/ or the 740iL (I might find him a buyer  )

other than that, my vote goes for the 3rd choice (hey I was surprised at the maintenance costs myself)

thats pretty cheap for regular maintenance huh? i thouht it would be a lot more... but i guess when you have to replace a non-regular service part, then youre screwed... you know, like hey, lets change some 200BD brake pads, or 1000bd brake discs or whtaver...

sofia, he didnt get the car yet

I'de go for the Ferrari personally... but i agree, it's only a weekend car!

so theres no point really... but then again, he has his Lexus and 740il for the weekdays and the ferrari for weekends... so i'de go for choice #1...

an alternative would be mixing 2 and 3 together.... getting a 996TTS along with a Cayenne Turbo... i wouldnt go for the 996TT convertible as i've read reviews about it which werent too impressive.. and plus the convertible would be much more pricey that the Turbo coupe.....

hmmm... a sedan that would rape most exotic cars?? .. common! it isnt called an "UBER-SALOON" for nothing man... its a supercar with 4 doors!

lets just get to the idea of a GMC yukon with 28" spinners, some wierdo wacko color, full air lift suspension, lowering, full body and interior work, full stereo work, bla bla bla... and get a c6 with the rest of the money... and give me the remaining 20,000 BD ill open a performance workshop with it :up2:

lets just say.. the m5 is not his thing :)

he doesnt care about speed, and i said.. he doesnt know **** about cars.. he just wants something nice and worth the money, and something he'll feel good with.. so far its choice number 3.. were going to check the SL 55 today, and we asked about the 997's.. they're comming next month but all are reserved. and the 996tt wont get the facelift for another 3 years i think, which kinda adds to its value, the roadster is going for 49,000. almost full options, nav.. natural leather.. hardtop.. bose sound system.. theres a used yellow coupe.. 2003 model going for 33,000 but its manual :(

dude are you serious? something worth the money and youre looking at completely overpriced cars... if he wants something worth the money, 3ndk the following:

Toyota echo
Honda City
Nissan Sunny
Honda Civic
Kia (the one that goes for around 3,400BD)

something along those lines
