Since people say that bahrain runs on 89 octane fuel, I was just curious about a 11.6:1 compression ratio engine! How will it run? Is it OK to use it with Bahrain fuel? will it perform as fast as it normally should? Will there be problems?

Thanx,

Unfurtunately you didnt mentioned what is your engine, if its LS1 that is another subject if its other engine with desturbutor its ok, compression always creats detonation without good fuel with high initial timing for max power & if you think you dont want to race it always get yourself Adjustable timing control unit & retard the hungry motor to free detonation position in your seat, when you have the race fuel in your seat advance the timing control to the required position for max power. Good luck:bigok:

Stielow, is right!

Also, there will not be that big of a change in power from like, 10.9 to 11.6. The power change is minimal. But if you added nitrous to those engines, the higher compression one (11.6) will make way much more power!

I am running about 11.6 compression. Let me tell you this, the gas here is very very VERY bad! :crying

i used to get detonation with a standard 4G93 mitsu engine(non turbo). try using octane boost..
