OK here it goes!! The Vette i have is a 84, and is auto but thats the boring part now i was wondering bout swapping it to a manual, but 6speed??
Possible or not??
if yes how?
if no what other alternatives do i have?
any other suggestions jus tell me!!

yeah its a simple job, you just need to find a 6 speed manual gearbox, and a good mechanic. the job isnt to difficult its been done before. finding the parts is the tough bit

Thanx very much guys any idea where ur best guess is to find one in the Gulf better if on the island?? Cost too??

its gonna be tough to find it in bahrain, i doubt youll have any luck but u could try your chance in the scrapyards behind alba, or ask around in salmabad garages (some of them might have an 80's vette by chance)
like black ss said, you should check out kuwait they do have a LOT of old corvettes there, go by car, spend a few days there driving around, you would probably find what u need :up2:

hi there brothers ...
I had a trouble once with my z28 camaro ...
transmission problems actually ...
I swaped the old gear box ... ( auto 4 speeds )
with a 6 speed (R&T ) manual trans. and it was great ...
it costs me about 14,500 dh ( dirhams in UAE ) ...
and it can be done in maney garages and gives you a 2 yrs garrantey ...
I will check for more details coz that was 6 years ago when I installed the gears and the cam shafts ...

the hardest part is finding the tranny..and if you buy a damaged one you're screwed basically..
