when has Man. united done ANYTHING in the champions league ?

:pointlaf:

okay let's start from the 1999-2000 season...
Both ManUnited and Chelsea reach the Quarter Finals! :)

2000-2001
This time Arsenal, Leeds and Manunited reach the Quarter Finals.. But Leeds go to the Semi Finals were they lose!

2001-2002
Both ManUTD and Liverpool reach the Quarter Finals.. Man United also progress to the Semi Finals!

2002-2003
Again Man United reach the Quarter Finals! Wheres Arsenal? hahaha

2003-2004
Chelsea and Arsenal reach the Quarter Finals, But if you remember, Chelsea kick OUT Arsenal, and go to the Semi Finals were they lose to Manoco!

So striker, If you look back at what i wrote you will see that.. ManUnited have reached the Quarter Finals since 1999! Has Arsenal done anything? NOP. Arsenal have always had bad luck in the Champions League, It's just not their type of football.. The are not 4 this type of football. Even Chelsea's done better from 1999.. :p

AC MILAN wooooohooooo
To be fair both Man U and AC played the best game of the night... But man the win was a desrved one by AC as they kept pounding down on Man U and finally Seedorf's Rocket sent to Roy Carroll broke him and gave Crespo the final touch in the back of the net... But Man U played great, if it wasnt for Fortune's stupid final touch they would be levelled and with nice goals to look at too....

Barcelona also rocked the hell outa Chealsea, the own goal by Belletti gave Chealsea an advantage but the ball was always at the feet of Barcelona, but it was a break threw when Drogba was sent off, and by entering the 2 subs, Inesta and MAXI they tought Chealsea a lesson or two... 2 goals, at home...Chealsea had no chance....

First of all , lets set this straight.

Man utd has history in champs so be quiet everyone who says they don't. Arsenal plays horribly outside of the EPL and wasn't too suprising.

The only english teams that did well were chelsea and liverpool .

Admittedly chelsea didn't do too well but this is the best spanish team you're talking about ! 2-1 away is pretty respectable. More than 0-1 home, huh manchester. Or 3-1 away.

Erm... go watch the real photo of the incident and you will see that Gallas' body is in the goal while in that 'thing' his body is out.. so you can take that pic and shove it up Sky's ass!

oh and btw, if it wasn't a goal it would've been a penalty and a red card for Cech and I sure as hell would've preferred the 2nd option at the time!

Maureen can whine all he wants, but everyone knows that Benitez showed him who is the better tactician over the two legs!

why dont you post the real photos? everyone knows that it wasnt a goal, cause gallas took it out, your body can be in the goal, so what! it only matters if the ball goes behind the line, which in this case it DIDNT.

Prove to me that it was a goal. I just proved to you it wasnt, cause that picture i posted is exactly accurate! and its by skyports, why would they lie?

And If chelsea got a red card and a penelty, well for sure Cudicini wouldve saved it. Do you think Chelsea's goalkeepers are as bad as Dudek, Kirkland or that new guy who in the first match gave away a goal? Chelsea's got the best goalkeepers in the Primership, and u yourself know what Cudiciini has done. :)

If only that Gudjohsen goal went in. All the liverpool fans would be crying the whole week! imagine, 94th minute a goal!

I never said it was a goal. I just said that the photo you gave was false.. I honestly saw so many replays of this and I still can't judge if it was in or not.

Oh and as for the rest of your post... :haha: :haha: First of all, you are so sure that Cudicini would've saved the penalty and then you totally ignore the fact that Chelsea were going to play with 10 men from the 4th minute!

I'll leave you with your 'if only's' and wait for the CL final where my team has the chance to win it's 5th cup!

im flying with this ****... you know why the ref WOULDNT i repeat wouldnt of given a penelty there?

Let me explain it..
Rules say (and this is a VERY basic one) that the one situation where you NEVER play on, under any circumstance, is if there has been a penalty foul.

The ref can't have forgotten this rule, since it's very simple: if you see a foul inside the box, you always call it, end of story. There's no room to wiggle out of it. It follows that he didn't actually think that Cech had fouled Baros.

So if the goal wasnt counted, he wouldnt of given a red car not even a penelty, cause as its mentioned there, the ref didnt think it was a penelty.

But then again, let me just check how many times Chelsea have beaten Liverpool this season.. wait.

3 times! and 1 draw.. and last.. they won once! :)

and to Arsenal fans, Sol Campbell SUCKS!! the new partnership.. Rio Ferdiand and John Terry/Jamie Carragha

Okay... so if someone shoots the ball and the ball hit a defenders hand and went in, the ref would give a penalty and not a goal? I mean there was a foul, handball, so it's a penalty, would the ref whistle? Nope.. Garcia had almost an open net in front of him so the ref didn't whistle for that reason..

About the high foot of Baros, Baros got the ball cleanly and at the time Cech wasn't near him, then Cech barged onto him, and since Baros would've had an open net and Cech was the last defender... bye bye!

If you asked me at the beginning of the season, that we would play Chelsea 5 times, lose twice in the league, and the Carling cup final and then knock them out of the semifinal of the CL, I would've had a big fat smile on my face!

Anyway, it's pointless to discuss this any further, we are in the final and you are out... that's the only fact that matters! ;)

THE REFEREE in charge of the controversial Champions League semi-final between Liverpool and Chelsea sensationally broke his silence last night.

Slovakian Lobos Michel, in an exclusive SP interview, reckons Chelsea were LUCKY to concede the winning goal to Luis Garcia at Anfield on Tuesday night.

He explained: "I believe Chelsea would have preferred the goal to count rather than face a penalty with just ten men for the rest of the game.

"If my assistant referee had not signalled a goal, I would have given a penalty and sent off goalkeeper Petr Cech."

Michel who runs a company flogging car tyres in Bratislava, added: "Jose Mourinho shook my hand after the game and did not complain about the goal. I appreciated his gesture.

"I was quite ready to explain everything, but no-one asked me about the situation. I always answer polite questions.

"I am a good friend of Anders Frisk, but whatever happened between him and Chelsea is in the past. The only thing I go by is what happens on the pitch."

The crescendo of noise from the Anfield crowd cut communications between Michel and Roman Slysco, the linesman who gave the goal. Michel added: "Roman beeped me to signal the foul by Cech, but I didn't know that till later.

"It was the noise from the crowd that stopped me hearing it. I have refereed at places like Barcelona, Ibrox, Manchester United and Arsenal. But I've never in my life been involved in such an atmosphere. It was incredible.

"I did not need the signal from Roman, though. I had already seen the foul and played advantage. There was no doubt in Roman's mind about the goal and he was in the best position to see.

"I chose him to be part of our team and I trust him. He is a heart surgeon and mistaken decisions are not allowed in his job.

"There was not even need to confer. He signalled the goal and sprinted back to the half-way line.

"I have seen the goal scores of times since on TV and have no reason to change my mind. But it would still be fine by me if they brought in technology to decide these things for the World Cup, European Championship and Champions League."

And Michel would be happy if UEFA select him to take charge of future European ties involving English clubs.

He said: "What I like about England is the players are very fair. They don't like to dive, they don't feign injury. Just one yellow card in a match of such intensity shows that.

"Some people were surprised I played six minutes more at the end. I have never given so many before.

"But apart from the subs, I had to take time off for the two people running on the field and the time-wasting by fans keeping the ball."

I REST MY CASE. ;)
