Miracle escape for teachers and children

MANAMA: Fifteen teachers and four pupils escaped serious injury when their bus overturned in a collision yesterday.Six teachers were treated at Salmaniya Medical Complex for minor cuts, bruises and sprains, but the rest were unhurt.
They were being driven home to Riffa from the Al Noor International School, Sitra, when the accident happened at about 2.15pm, said sources.
They said the bus was turning near the school, on a side road near the Al Zayani Motors showroom, when it was in collision with a car which came from behind.
Passers-by helped the teachers and pupils from the minibus, which flipped onto its side.
The injured teachers were taken by ambulance to the hospital, where they were treated for minor injuries and released, said sources.
They said the bus was on contract from Abu Ali Transport Company. It is understood that neither the bus driver nor the car driver, both Indian, were hurt.
The school sent another bus to the scene and all those who were not injured were taken straight home, said sources. School officials were not available for comment.

. i saw the whole thing !! wen the bus was trying to take a U turn !! the car was speeding a head !! the bus had not much balance wen he car hit it so it fell on one side sliding across the road !! the car was totally a mess !! but the driver came out safe !! the teachers wer taken out of the windows and the drivers door !! ....and to think if we wer just a head by just 2 minutes !! it cud have been me :eek: sliding across the roan in the bus !!
