if u don't know all camaro history just check this out

1st Generation: 1967-1969

In 1967 there were only two types of Camaros availabe they were a sports coupe and a convertible. They had long hoods and short-deck styling was very smooth and styling. Especially when compared to the competitor Ford Mustang. The starting sticker price for a 1967 Camaro was $2,466 which was very affordable for a fast good looking sports coupe. They also had SS package for all you motor heads which included a 295HP, 350 cubic in. small block engine. In mid 1967 they came out with the 396 big block which of course was the beginning of the legend Z-28. The Z-28 was chevys closets thing to the vette yet. The Z-28 was equipped to race. The camaros became so popular that in February 1967 the 396 SS convertible was the Indianapolis 500 Pace Car. An honor that camaro would enjoy again in 1969 and 1982. By 1968 the camaro was one of Americas #1 selling sports car. In 1969 the camaro stepped up they changed the body style a little which made the camaro look more muscular, especially in the RS coupes and convertibles.

The 2nd generation was new and radically restyled. The Camaro arrived in February, 1970. This series of camaros did so well that it was produced until 1981. In the Early seventies the camaro was little changed. These Camaros were available as a coupe only. However there were many performance and luxury options in which you could add to your car. For example the RS package had special front-end styling with Ferrari-like apperance. In 1974 the Z28 was discontinued, but temporarily as it would turn out. Marketing experts were proven wrong yer after year. Sales reached new highs every year. By 1977 the Z28 was back in production due to popular demand. In the late seventies a big option came into effect, that option was the "T-top". By the early eighties times got though. It was time for a new Camaro. And Chevrolet was ready

Ready they were, the 1982 Camaro was a stylish coupe that appealed to enthusiasts with its rear-wheel-drive configuration, available V8 power and precise handling characteristics, in Z28 form. The "82 Camaro was on the cover of every car-buff magazine, it won Motor Trend's prestigious "Car of the Year" award and paced the Indianapolis 500. The convertiable came back in 1987- after an 18 year absence. In 1989 the RS nameplate returned showing a upgraded standard Camaro that looked like a Z28. Motor Trend said that the iROC-Z convertible would be one of the most desirable cars of the decade. Camaro celebrated its 25th Anniversary in the 1992 model year

Now a new generation of this American classic makes its entrance. The 1993 Camaro is designed and engineered to offer outstanding value in the competitive sporty coupe market. Available in two coupe models - standard and an up level Z28 - the '93 Camaro offers enthusiasts an outstanding combination of technology, safety features and quality. The 280-HP LT 1 V8-equipped Z28 is Chevy's highest-performance regular production Camaro and, as always, "the closest thing to a 'Vette yet." In 1996 the Camaro SS returns. In 2001 GM makes a corporate decision to kill off the production of the Camaro. In 2002 the 35th Anniversary Camaro SS is made and in August 2002 after 35 years of production the Camaro was no longer in production.
