i was just hopin if someone could answer me a few questions..

ive been caught 2 times by camera ilmuroor.. one pasining a red light and one in the higway goin around 140...

i just wanted to know wat will happen.. ya3ni if my car will be impounded or wat? and how much should i pay? and wen can i pay it...?

habibi, i dont wanna scare you but this is whats going to happen. You go to the murror, u pay 15 dinars which are the charges for the usages of the equipemnt on you. Then you sign on a piece of paper which is "ma7thar thabu9". Thats it!

The "neeyaba" will contact you later on and u have to go there. Then you have to explain your position to them and they decide what charges to bring up. Either they withdraw your license and impound ur car, or you pay a fine ( 50 to 150 dinars)

well, you have two situations...

the speeding ticket... the most recent news ive heard about this is if you get caught speeding under 120km/hr you pay the fine with no probs... over 120 they might take you to ma7kema bs since its just 140 theres chance ena ymashoonek if their mazaj is ok... the fine is 20 or 25bd i think but thats subject to change depending where you were driving etc...

the traffic light; well most traffic lights operate with two photos. The first takes a photo as soon as you cross the white line. If you manage to stop there, the fine is 25bd only. If you keep driving the camera will take another shot and your fine is 25+25 which is 50bd.

I suggest you go and pay your fines as soon as possible. I dont know if you have noticed but the muroor are doing a lot of tafteesh these days, and if you get stopped, they check the car number to see if there are any fines outstanding. If there are, then they will lock up your car, and you have to speak to the neyaba to get it out which knowing how fast things in bahrain go, might take a while. My friend had his car impounded he came back from the UK and was driving around, with nothing wrong (no raybon, no speeding, no nothing) and he was stopped at a regular tafteesh. They found his car had a speeding ticket which was like a few weeks old so they took it back to the muroor HQ and locked it up. He had to come back the next morning, go to the neyaba etc etc...

I suggest if you have anything on your car that could give the muroor any small excuse to stop you, like raybon, etc, take it off, pay the fines as soon as you can before you get in a mess :spaz:

But you dont want to get caught on the street with 2 fines because they will almost definately impound your car. and the highway was last week.. but the wierd thing is that i saw the flash in my face.. not in the back..

im not sure how bahrains radars operate. I know they used to take photos from the back, since the radar and camera are placed next to each other, so as soon as you pass, it takes a photo. If theyre using a new system which places the radar in one place and the camera a few meters ahead then that means the light infront of you was for you :naughty: although i really dont think bahrain muroor use this kind of radar
